Shock jock Bubba the Love Sponge has listed a home in St. Petersburg's Bayway Isles for sale for $1.8 million. The home, at 5264 61st Ave. S., is where Bubba — who was born Todd Clem — filmed a sex tape of Hulk Hogan that was later released to Gawker Media, a now defunct website that published the tape, according to Realtor.com. South Florida is among the fastest growing metros for senior citizens thanks mostly to migration, but other cities in the Southeast are gaining ground faster, according to research by CoStar. Close to 460,000 homes are at risk of storm surge in the Tampa Bay area, making it the third most at-risk area in the nation, according to a CoreLogic report released at the start of hurricane season. A subsidiary of homebuilding giant Lennar has snapped up acreage in a new development on the Westshore waterfront with plans to acquire more land in the development by 2018. Bonita Springs-based WCI said it paid $2.5 million for 2.35 acres in Westshore Marina District, a mixed-use area on the waterfront near the intersection of Westshore and Gandy boulevards. Recently released population estimates by the U.S. Census Bureau shows that many South Florida cities are among the fastest growing in the state, according to analysis by Florida International University’s Metropolitan Center. In fact, Doral ranked highly nationwide. With a 26.1 percent population increase from 2010 to 2016, Doral was the 11th-fastest growing large city in the nation. The new coach of the University of South Florida's men's basketball team — whose contract is worth $6.58 million over six years — has purchased a waterfront home in Tampa. Brian Gregory and his wife, Yvette, paid $1.75 million for a 6,768-square-foot home on the water in Bay Port Colony, south of Hillsborough Avenue and north of the Courtney Campbell Causeway, according to Hillsborough County property records.
